Cherish David Cassidy A Legacy of Love is a compilation of 200 personal memories from fans around the world in a celebration of his life and edited by Louise Poynton.
Written in their own words, fans have told Louise through interviews many previously untold stories about their own journey, David’s role in their lives, his inspiration for them to follow careers in song writing, acting or theatre production.
Tributes are paid by celebrity fans including Neil Sedaka, Richie Furay, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal alongside actors and broadcasters who worked with David in television, the theatre, on stage and in the recording studio, paying homage to the lasting legacy of love and music he left.
Contributing fans – male and female – recall concert experiences including his last show in New York eight months before his passing in November 2017. They relive chance meetings, share precious keepsakes, and explain how he made their world a brighter place. They share examples of his unfailing generosity, unexpected acts of kindness and how he made them feel important when they needed that in their lives.
